Woman abducted while walking in North Seattle | 911

Seattle police are searching for two men who attacked two young women early Tuesday in North Seattle and abducted one of them at gunpoint.

The woman who was taken was found a short time later and was being treated at Harborview Medical Center for a head wound.

Officials said the two women, who are 19 and 20 years old, were walking in the 9700 block of Dayton Avenue North about 1 a.m. when two men approached them from a dark corner of the street.

The 20-year-old woman was pulled away by a man armed with a gun, and the 19-year-old woman told police she was able to fight off the other man and get away.

The two men forced the 20-year-old into a car and drove off, according to police who interviewed the younger woman.

The commotion caught the attention of several neighbors.

"And I just heard something that sounded like a scream. Lasted like three seconds. Heard nothing after that," said neighbor Dylan Roberts.

About an hour later, the woman was dropped off about a mile away, she told investigators.

The two attackers are still at large. They are described as hispanic men in their 20s and were driving a light-colored sedan with Washington plates that may contain the letters L and R, and the number 4.

Detectives from the Seattle Police Department's homicide unit were at the scene of the abduction Tuesday morning collecting evidence.

Police spokesperson Renee Witt said it was not clear what the two women were doing at the time of the attack, but investigators do not believe they were involved in any criminal activity.

The women did not know the attackers, Witt said.
