Help shape the future of Broadview, Bitter Lake, Haller Lake March 12 | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
The city is asking for help from Broadview, Bitter Lake and Haller Lake residents to shape the future of their neighborhood.
In 1999, neighbors helped create the Broadview-Bitter Lake-Haller Lake Neighborhood Plan. Since then, a lot has changed and the plan needs to be updated.
The first of four community meetings to discuss goals for the neighborhood takes place from 9 a.m. to noon March 12 at Broadview-Thomson Elementary School, located at 13052 Greenwood Ave. N.
The meeting is part of a citywide process that started in 2008 to update the more than 30 Neighborhood Plans, which are more than a decade old.
For a great explanation of the Neighborhood Plans and why resident participation is important, watch "Where Do you Live?" by Greg Brotherton, a local film producer and a member of the Broadivew/Bitter Lake/Haller Lake Neighborhood Advisory Committee.
For residents who can't make the March 12 meeting, there is an online questionnaire to fill out. Business owners are also requested to fill out an online business survey.
