Show featuring Pulitzer-winning David Horsey, his mom opens Nov. 17 | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Behind every Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist, there is an inspiring mother. Just ask David Horsey.
“She is the true artist in the family,” Horsey said of his mother Jeanne in a press release. “She is always trying new things.”
For the first time ever, David and Jeanne will have a joint art show when a new exhibit opens Nov. 17 at the Aljoya Thornton Place retirement community, located at 450 N.E. 100th St. The exhibit will feature 15 pieces by David and 10 pieces by Jeanne, who works in mixed media.
David said Jeanne’s fearless artistic spirit always helped inspired his art.
The exhibit runs through Feb. 21 and is free to the public. To attend an opening reception from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17 with David and Jeanne, who is a resident of Aljoya Thornton Place’s sister community in Wallingford, call 206.306.7920.
