Prison time for man who operated brothels out of tanning salons
A man who operated a string of massage parlors and tanning salons as fronts for prostitution was sentenced to 22 months in prison and three years of supervised release for "conspiracy to transport individuals in furtherance of prostitution."
Jesus Deleon, 47, employed women from out of state to come to Washington and work as prostitutes out of the following businesses:
The Avalon Spa, 9530 Aurora Avenue North in Seattle
The Aloha Tanning Resort, 2828 Sunset Lane N.E. in Renton
The Malibu Tanning Spa, 13985 Interurban Avenue South in Tukwila
In addition to the prison time, Deleon has to give up more than $150,000 and eleven luxury watches.
Earlier this week, Deleon's accomplice Donald Frey was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of supervised release.
Both men pleaded guilty to the charges in July. Deleon has already served almost two years in California for a similar operation in Sacramento County.
